Dear Parents,

  

First of all, we would like to say welcome to our website page. It already is a plus that you are looking at this. Why do we say that? Because you right now are solidifying our already sure minds that you care for your child and their education! Before we get into any information or details, please know how blessed we are to have your child in our classroom. We hope they will have just as much fun as we know that we will! If you have any questions, either before or after reading this, and you feel that your question wasn't answered, never hesitate to ask us. But now for some information. If you are looking at this website for the first time, maybe because you have just enrolled your child, or you might be looking to join, we're happy to see that you're looking here.We offer different classes in order to best suit your child. If one of these classes suits your child, let us know and we'll hopefully get to enroll your child soon!

 

 

2 Day Class ---Our 2 day class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM. This class is for any child who will be 3 years old by August 1st. The cost is $80.00 per month. This class teaches basic concepts: colors, shapes, letters, and numbers, as well as socialization skills.

 

3 Day Class ---This class is for children who will be 4 years old by August 1st. They meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM until 11:30 a.m. This class costs $90.00 per month. This class will also teach colors, shapes, letters, and numbers; but we will also teach extra concepts such as their name, address, phone number, opposites and rhyming, and the like. These knowledge based skills will be applicable to their requirements to possibly enter kindergarten within the following year.

 

 

5 Day Class ---The 5 day class is dedicated to children who will be 4 years old by August 1st that want to meet all 5 weekdays from 9:00 AM until 11:30 a.m. This class costs $140.00 per month. This class teaches everything that the 3 day class teaches, but the extra time allows us to reinforce the ideas and skills learned, as well as expand and enrich the teaching materials given.

  

All classes have a non-refundable $25.00 registration fee.

  

We realize that every child will not grasp everything that is taught, while some may exceed far beyond what we introduce. Our goal is to simply expose the children to basic concepts, not require that they learn them. We do not want to pressure a child into anything he/she is not ready to learn.

 

We also realize that different children learn in different ways. Some are visual learners, some learn by hearing things, some by doing. Therefore, we use a variety of teaching methods. We complete papers, paint, create, do finger-plays, sing lots of songs and have lots of fun doing it!

 

But more important than the cognitive skills the children learn are the social skills they learn. They learn how to function in a school setting, how to get along with other children, and how to work cooperatively with others.

 

Above All Else, we at First Christian feel that the most important thing we can teach our children is that God created them, God loves them unconditionally and will be with them always. Therefore, God is a part of everything we do at preschool. We will tell Bible stories to the children on a regular basis and incorporate Bible truths into our everyday lessons as well. The teachers regularly pray with and for each other and the children. Prayer is also a part of our morning routine. We ask each child if he/she wants to pray and then “help” them if they want to. We usually start with Dear God (Jesus) and then proceed to thank Him for all we have: Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sisters, Grandparents, animals, etc. We want the children to know that God always hears and answers our prayers.
